Pro Fishing Secret Tip for Catching Winter Bass in Cold Weather

A lot of people ask, “How do I catch fish in the winter?”, or “How do you catch fish when the water gets cold?”

Professional BASS angler/fisherman Mike “Ike” Iaconelli talks about catching winter bass with the Rapala Shad Rap. When the water gets cold, follow this secret VMC short shank treble hook tip to trick out your Shad Raps and catch those big winter bass! Customize your shad rap by modifying the hooks.

Bigger treble hooks can increase hookup percentage, neutralizes the buoyancy to help the bait suspend, and the short shank keeps the larger hooks from tabling with each other.

Use these tips along with 6lb. Berkley Trilene fluorocarbon to catch more late fall, winter and early spring largemouth and smallmouth bass.

  1. Deep cranking is definitely not one of my confidence techniques but it's something I try and work on whenever I can! I have two questions id like to ask you. Number one… Do you have any tips beyond what you discussed on this video for how proficiently fish a deep diver? Number two… What would be the one single most important or single best piece of advice you would give to someone who is just getting into fishing tournaments and who looking to get into tournaments and who's ultimate goal would be to fish professionally? I look forward to your response!
