Awesome Pre Spawn Bass Fishing Action

Fishing a local lake in search of some giant pre spawn bass. Fishing was very productive early morning until about 9:30 and then quickly died down. I also threw in some good tips to hopefully help you guys catch more bass on jigs.

Set up used:
-Lews Laser MG LSG15HMG on a Duckett Ghost 7′ Medium heavy and 15lb fluorocarbon.

  1. If you want to fish for big bass after spawning season down here, I'd highly recommend Fletcher's pond near Hillman. I've caught big pre-spawn bass up there in late may/early June. It's about a 4-hour drive from the Ann Arbor area, but it's worth it if you are going to spend a weekend up there.

  2. I have to say, I own a DUKETT 7ft medium spinning rod. For the price that bad boy is light and super super sensitive! It's my main drop shot rod! How do you like hay casting rod?

  3. Dude, sometimes i think its all about just finding the bigger fish. It seems like for me during the prespawn, i have to really grind to find where they are holding before they spawn. Sometimes they suspend at the ends of structure while the males are pushed up shallower.
